Celebrating the Launch of the Judith Binney Fellowships

The Judith Binney Trust launched the Judith Binney Fellowships at a public event at the National Library in Wellington on Tuesday 14th August 2018.

Members of the public, colleagues, family and friends, and former students gathered for a very warm celebratory event marking the establishment of the Fellowships with speeches, reminiscences and waiata – all acknowledging the exceptional contribution that the late Dame Judith Binney, Te Tōimairangi o Te Aroha, made to our understanding of New Zealand’s shared past.

Judith Binney Trustees (LtoR) Prof Atholl Anderson; Sir John Hood; Bridget Williams; Adam Ross; and Elizabeth Ellis celebrated the launch of the Judith Binney Fellowships at National Library, Wellington on 14th August 2018.

Guest speakers at the launch included (LtoR) Cybele Locke; Damon Salesa, Melissa Matutina Williams; Rawinia Higgins.
